Community Psychology is a psychology subspecialty that utilizes collaborative research and action to meet the mental health need of a community. Client support may offered on an individual basis, but frequently occurs in a group setting and can include crisis counseling, daily or weekly counseling, or drop-in counseling support. As a general rule, community psychologists try to prevent problems before they start.
